Lightning talk at RubyEnRails 2008

June 10, 2008

Today Wakoopa attended the excellent RubyEnRails conference in Amsterdam. During the lightning talks I did a short talk about the lessons we’ve learned while building Wakoopa. It was a short talked so there wasn’t much time to get really deep into some of the issues we’ve faced.

For now the slides are up here for you to see. We’ll try to update this blog regularly with more in-depth articles about the development of Wakoopa.

  1. Nice to see that you’re doing well, congratulations! Considering your database optimization, have you considered switching over to PostgreSQL? It has supported partitioning for quite a while. Combined with pgpool you could also parallelize your queries.
